Given the national government’s commitment to transformational leadership that prioritizes education as the central investment strategy for Filipinos, CHED-CAR conducted an orientation for employees on January 26, 2024, to reinforce their understanding of the Citizen’s Charter of the Commission.

Initiated by Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, director of CHED-CAR, the orientation aims to empower employees with updates on the Commission’s processes and technical services. This would enable them to provide efficient service to constituents.

The orientation included a discussion by the office Chief Admin Officer, Ms. Prisilla Panangwe on Republic Act number 6713, which establishes a Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for public officials and Employees.

Additionally, Dr. Geraldine Casipit, CHED-CAR’s Chief Education Program Supervisor, provided further details on the contents of the Citizen’s Charter. She emphasized the significance of adhering to protocols and legal standards in the delivery of frontline services.

 

The Gender and Development concerns were discussed by Ms. Melody Labawaig, Education Supervisor in charge of the (GAD)program. She emphasized the importance of understanding and promoting equity to achieve harmony in the work environment.

Dr. Jimmy Catanes, Education Supervisor, and Ms. Menzie Kuengan, Supervising Education Program Specialist, served as the facilitators and overseers of the activity.
