BAGUIO CITY – The University of the Cordilleras (UC) once again proved its excellence in the field of criminology as it ranked second among the Top Performing Schools in the May 2023 Criminology Licensure Examination. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the exam last April 3, 4, and 5.
With an impressive average of 87.75%, UC secured the second spot, only trailing the number one ranked school by a few percentage points. It is noteworthy that UC is one of only two higher education institutions to be recognized as a top performing school in the recent exam.
The achievement did not end there, as UC also produced a top performing examinee, Mr. Placido V. Abuan III, who secured the 8th spot among all the examinees nationwide. Mr. Abuan is a proud alumnus of UC, who has continued to uphold the university’s tradition of excellence.
This achievement is not new to UC, as the university has consistently ranked among the top-performing schools in criminology licensure exams in recent years. In the previous year’s exam, UC even topped the list with an impressive average of 94.37%, with one of its graduates ranking third nationwide as a top performing examinee.
