The UniFAST Unit of the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region successfully conducted its first regional caravan for this year amidst the pandemic.
A simultaneous limited face-to-face and virtual meeting were conducted on February 15, 2021, to discuss matters about the programs under the Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education Act (UniFAST) and orientation on the new TES Landbank Mastercard. Representatives from the different higher education institutions in the Region participated in the event.
Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, the Officer-in-Charge/Executive Director of UniFAST, also graced the event by giving his message. In his message, he highlighted the milestones that UniFAST was able to accomplish in a short span of time as it was implemented in 2015.
Mr. John Andrew K. Begafria, the OIC for Field Operations, Partnerships, and ICT of UniFAST, oriented the participants on the new TES Landbank Mastercard Application.
Also present during the event were representatives from the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP). Mr. Victor C. Mendoza of LBP La Trinidad Branch graced the event. Ms. Ross Ann Quirimit, the Senior Marketing Specialist of the LBP North Luzon Branches, presented the features of the TES LBP Mastercard.
Clarification/questions were raised and resolved during the open forum.
As part of its regional caravan activities, virtual orientation sessions for the TES Grantees of the Region were conducted on February 24 and 26, 2021. A total of 2,000 grantees were oriented on the TES LBP Mastercard.
