Dr. Danilo B. Bose, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region presided the Virtual Expanded Governance Board Meeting of the Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (CRHRDC) on February 10, 2021, via Zoom meeting.
Ms. Maria Rowena C. Madarang, the Consortium Director, presented the Highlights of CRHRDC Accomplishments for CY 2020, CRHRDC Annual Plan for CY 2021, and draft CRHRDC Special Order for CY 2021.
22 heads and representatives of HEIs offering health education also graced the event.
Also present during the said virtual meeting were Ms. Anicia Catameo and Ms. JM Suerte of the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) of which reminded the participants of the upcoming events. The anniversary celebration of PCHRD will be held on March 2021 while the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week Celebration will be in August 2021.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Bose emphasized the noble importance of health research and development especially in today’s new normal setting. He commended the effort exerted by the consortium in its continuous endeavor to conduct health researches and develop health technologies.
The Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium is under the Philippine National Health System of the Department of Science and Technology – CAR which aims to establish linkages between the researchers and institutions as well as promote health research activities attuned to the health needs of the Cordillerans.
