In a move aimed at optimizing employee performance, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) has recently initiated a program called R.E.A.P. (Review and Evaluation of Actual Performance).
The program aims to evaluate the realization of targets set by the office, focusing on realizing its targets anchored on its ten-point agenda and CHED’s mandate, identifying any gaps that may exist, and providing recommendations for improvement.
The R.E.A.P. program incorporates regular reviews of office performance to ensure continuous improvement. The program encompasses a comprehensive evaluation process, consisting of quarterly reviews, a mid-year assessment, and an end-year evaluation. These periodic assessments enable the organization to identify strengths, address areas for improvement, and implement strategic measures to optimize overall performance.
This innovation was coined by the Regional Director, Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr., and is set to bring about significant improvements within the organization.
The R.E.A.P. program is designed to achieve several key objectives that will contribute to the overall growth and efficiency of CHED-CAR. These objectives include:
1. Assess the realization of targets set by the office, identifying gaps and making recommendations for improvement.
2. Review and evaluate office performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
3. Evaluate the implementation of programs, projects, and activities, identifying issues and suggesting enhancements.
4. Foster employee engagement and motivation, promoting a positive work environment and offering professional development opportunities.
Through the implementation of the R.E.A.P. program, CHED-CAR is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning, ultimately leading to the attainment of its organizational goals.
