As part of the 10-point agenda of the administration of Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr., CESE, that is to promote excellence in client service through convergence and good governance and organizational development, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region conducted benchmarking activity at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region on August 19, 2021.
Along with Dir. Anduyan are Ms. Prisilla T. Panangwe, Chief Administrative Officer, and Education Supervisors Dr. Jimmy G. Catanes, Ms. Christine M. Soriano, and Ms. Fely Ann Balusdan.
TESDA-CAR, under the leadership of their dynamic Regional Director, Dr. Dante J. Navarro, willingly shared their best practices in terms of documentation and performance evaluation specifically in Program Registration Requirement, Internal Quality Assurance Criteria, IQA Tracking Sheet, and Action Catalog. These best practices were discussed by Mr. Allen I. Yadao, TESD Specialist II, IQA Focal. Also present during the activity were Ms. Daisy C. Bungallon, Chief TESD Specialist, and Mr. Belmar G. Angoling, OIC Chief Administrative Officer.
The benchmarking activity is in preparation of the Regional Office for its ISO 9001:2015 certification journey. ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard dedicated to Quality Management Systems (QMS). It outlines a framework for improving quality and a vocabulary of understanding for any organization looking to provide products and services that consistently meet the requirements and expectations of customers and other relevant interested parties in the most efficient manner possible.
